Exhibited at the Eastwood Mall Gallery, the show consisted of art by Al Bright, who taught and mentored Suzanne Bort Gray, who in turn taught and mentored students at the Davis Family YMCA.

Studio Class
Nationally known artist and author, Al Bright was a mentor to hundreds during
his years as a YSU professor. I was among those who benefited from his instruction, patience, and friendship.
The Butler Institute of American Art
Art students at the Davis Family YMCA gathered at the museum for a guided tour. Two of the the group went on to become docents at the Butler.

When Ceclia Newman was downsizing, she found a cache of paintings her husband had created while still in high school. Each was the face of famous movie stars.
When she donated them to the YMCA, little did she realize that we’d make a big fuss, have a red carpet opening reception, invite her family as guests of honor.
