Although I started painting late in life, with art class at the YMCA, I’ve always appreciated those with creative talents. I spent 30+ years teaching young children, always encouraging drawing and illustrating in my classroom.
Visiting art galleries in the USA and Europe broadened my view of great art, with a visit to Giverny topping the list. It’s nice to be encouraged by my husband, Ed, our children, and grandkids too. I struggle at times but find painting very satisfying.
In addition to creating my own art, I enjoy guiding adults and children on tours as a docent at the Butler Institute of American Art.
