Working on Mothers & Daughters mural in Akumal Mexico

Suzanne has been working at the Davis Family YMCA since it opened its doors in 2003. During the first few years, she taught all of the art classes. When the Y expanded in 2010, the art department became just that… a department with dedicated studio space and a broad range of instructors and classes. Gray was named Arts and Humanities Coordinator, charged with developing & curating art shows, hosting special events, and gathering a group of volunteers to showcase the importance of art in the community.

In addition to that role, she teaches adult oil and acrylic painting classes. In 2008, she became involved with for the Global Art Project for Peace biennial exchange, facilitating art exchanges between the YMCA and organizations in Australia, British Columbia, India, Ireland, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Senegal, and various American states.
